The city which rejects those who are impure, a perfect place for somebody as pure as I, no? Number two made her way to the entrance of the holy city, her claymore was at her side, dragging along in the dirt, causing a trail of dust following her, giving the false perception of something much larger than the woman. The distinctive sounds metal made when it came upon rocks resonated from her blade and echoed with the aid of the near by walls. It seemed just outside the city gates lay the remains of an old city, it's gone now. Nothing more than memories and the silent cries of the souls that still haunt these stones remain. Tragic, how the thousands of stories these broken stone walls may never be heared.
Luna wasn't on a mission here, she merely wanted to pass the time, traveling alone can get extremely boring. She always had to find her own means of entertainment, the man following her was a pain, no sense of humor at all -- but then again, she doubted any of them had a sense of humor, do these 'men in black' even know how to laugh?! What ever, Luna wasn't one to depend on people, besides, the town was filled with Yoma, the priests were just blinded by their relentless search for 'god'. Luna chuckled, foolish humans, can't depend on themselves, nor one another, who else was there to turn to but their imaginary friend, God? She wasn't the type to believe something as contradictory and foolish as a higher level of being.
The gate to Rabona approached fast, Luna was getting closer to the holy city. As usual countless 'crusaders' guarded the gates, they're armor bore the holy cross in countless places, how foolish, were they going to allow blood to stain their cross? This Claymore wasn't one to care for the city's rules, the others may obey them, but not Luna. The woman made no attempt to hide her identity, if the large blade she carried was not enough, her silver eyes and grey attire would definately give away her status, afterall the Claymore were well known in every town. As soon as she approached the gate, the armed men moved quickly in front of her, blocking her way from the city. "This is Rabona, we do not allow your kind to enter." He said coldly. Luna ignored him and approched. "Stop!" The man willed, "I will be forced to strike if you take another step." This time, Luna gave him a smile which seemed to urge him to try. She took another step.
The soldier was hesitant -- a foolish mistake, if Luna wanted, he'd be in half already. As she took another step, the single solider approched with his sword raise. Luna didn't doubt the sword was heavy, but compared to her claymore, it looked like a mere toy. Her innocent eyes seemed to warn the soldier not to come, but her smile contradicted herself. The man was now sprinting towards her, he stopped in front of her and transfered all his momentum into a swift swing of his sword, swift to the eyes of a human apparently. Inches away from Luna the blade stopped, the man put all his weight on it, but the blade would not budge, as if it was caught by an invisible hand, the blade that was so close to the woman wouldn't go any further. The Claymore ignored him and proceded. The other men soon followed the first soldier, but none had any luck. Some tried to attack her from differnt angles at once, but ended with the same result. As if the woman had some sort of guardian angel protecting her from harm, Luna emerged without a scratch and entered the city.
Within the town, the countless civillians gathered in the streets to witness a rare sight, a Claymore was allowed to enter their town? It could only mean one thing, but how?! Their god was supposed to be looking after them! The shocked expressions of the people followed Luna as she moved to the fountain in the center of the town. Her eyes shifted in their sockets to random bits of Yoki excerpted by the Yoma hidden deep within the town. One... Two... Three... Four.... She counted the sources, after counting and double checking, she confirmed there were atleast 9 Yoma hidden within the so called 'holy' city. Another was approaching behind her, perhaps one foolish enough to try to engage her? Ten.
A large man with a butcher's knife came at Luna, he was at a full sprint, trying to catch the woman. As he approached, he raised his knife and swung down from behind her. Seconds later came a rain of blood, surprisingly, none of the liquid landed on the Claymore. A large gash was in his throat as blood spewed uncontrolablly onto its surroundings. Gasps from within the crowed where heared, screams from children covered in blood resonated all through town. The townsfolk looked at the Claymore with shocked eyes, they couldn't believe she was harming the people she was supposed to protect. Seconds later, the dead body began to contort and change shapes, a few more seconds revealed the true figure of the beast, a grotesque looking orgre like creature who had yellow, cat like eyes resembling that of a demon. 1 down, 9 more to go. The city which rejects those who are impure, a perfect place for somebody as pure as I? No.
