General information[/b]
Name: Isolde Valencia Avalon.
Age: Twenty-Seven.
Gender: Female.
Class: Claymore.
Rank: Number Three. [ Originally Number Four, then two. ]
Symbol:
Occupation: Kicking Yoma butt.
Birthday: May 17th
Height: Five foot seven inches.
Weight: 120 – 130lbs.
Personality:
With her silence, she’s bound to the loneliness that comes with being a Claymore. Destined to die alone, her life wasted away being the monstrous protectors of lesser beings—the humans. She has a distaste for them, although she still considers herself as one of them. She knows that she’s half-creature half-human, but with the exceptions of her physical traits and abilities, she is no different than someone who hasn’t been infused with yoma blood. She’d rather be alone in the woods waiting for her prey rather than stay in an inn, but there are times where she’s left with no other choice. What causes her dislike is the fact that they cannot accept her kind and outcast them [ the Claymores ] and fear them, but then again, it’s for the best. She’d rather the humans call her a silver eyed witch than get thingyy and try to take her on. It’s that kind of stupidity that puts her off, especially when they think they can go and rape her comrades. She has never been unlucky enough to get into a situation like that.
Valencia wasn’t given her spot on pure power alone, though her name suggests otherwise; Valencia is another from of the Latin name Valentia and it means power. She’s got the brains and the brawn to take on an awakened with a smaller group than usual. Numbers five an up can take on Awakened with only one other teammate and sometimes, even alone. She isn’t someone to underestimate her opponents and takes the time to think of the possible different outcomes whence in battle. She isn’t a born leader and prefers to work alone. It’s difficult to take down Awakened beings that were once higher ranked because of the sole fact that she simply doesn’t talk to the people around her. The Elders also pay attention to this and make sure that they avoid sending her as the only single digit in a group. She’s fit for covert operations; she’s one of the best. Back to the topic of the groups, if there is another single digit, whether it be lower or higher, they’ll take the lead and if she does not see fit, she’ll either attack according to her own strategy. She isn’t the type to make stupid mistakes; she reminds herself constantly that it isn’t even an option. It’s life or death and personally, she prefers the former rather than the latter. When she does desperately need the cooperation of her comrades, she will use her voice. It tends to catch many people off guard, but if she wants to keep the people around her alive, then it’s better if she break her own promise to herself.
Save for those situations, it’s considered a great honor when she speaks to a person. Her manner of speaking is just like her personality, calm and moderated. Never has anyone heard her rush her speech or fumble on words. She thinks things through, not only when she talks is she cautious about what she says, she’s careful about what she does too.
As mentioned before, her personality is the calm and collected type. She’s in perfect control of her emotions and mind. She doesn’t smile much and isn’t amused easily. Most of the time, she seems contemplative or apathetic; showing nor like nor dislike. She doesn’t grow attached to people, it takes her a long time and she night never like said person. Nevertheless, the fact that she’s apathetic doesn’t let anyone in on character. Well, Valencia sees herself as someone who is higher than most and believes that there is an extremely large and un-fill-able gap between the top five in the organization and the rest of the ranks. Unlike most in the top ranks, she seems to be quite compassionate—unafraid to show mercy to others. That doesn’t make her any less ruthless. She will kill a yoma in an instant without second thought, the same goes for awakened. Even if the beast was once someone she had once fought alongside with, she won’t hesitate, that’s Valencia. Lower ranks aren’t a bother for her, she will simply kick them out of the way until she’s done and then help them up as if she wasn’t the cause of their falling down.
It’s not abnormal that she hasn’t found herself a close friend in the organization. No one really does get close to one another, but when they do, it’s a bond they carry with them for life. It’s the same for almost all Claymores, Valencia is no different. Back before she was taken to become what she is now, she used to be a happy and overly talkative child and what she valued most were the friendships she had, but that was stripped away as easily and as quickly from her as killing a normal yoma. She became the opposite of her old self, no fun and no talking.

In some way, all these half-yoma half-human women could be considered impossible to differentiate from one another. They all have the same features and what really makes them different is their symbol or their hairstyles. Valencia’s strait silver hair is what she might be known for. Some Claymores have a slight blond tint to their hair; Valencia’s hair looks more silver-ish grey leaning into white rather than blonde. This can possibly be explained by the fact that she used to have platinum blonde hair and the yoma blood had drained the little color it had. The length of her hair reaches to the mind of her back. An odd habit that she seems to have kept from her human days was to tuck her hair behind her ears.
Her soft facial features become more accentuated thanks to her silver hair. Perhaps her appearance really is cause for underestimation. Unlike other Claymores, her face is a painting of sorrow and loneliness. Though she does not desire the company of anyone else, she still seems to be stuck in an eternal sadness. Whenever she walks into a town, people are keener to approach her rather than any other of her kind they’ve encountered. She seems to give off a vibe of kindness, another trait remnant of the past that no longer exists to her. She has full pink lips and kind eyes, perhaps that’s what attracts people to her.
In ways she’ll never realize, she resembles a lost child.[/ul]
Powers
Powers:
She is a defensive Claymore, thus meaning that she naturally has very effective regenerative abilities.
Now for her abilities;
Last Pulse : This is something that she’s trained hard for with many members of the organization. The men in back thought that she would be the best suited for this ability and so, she wasn’t allowed on the field before this technique was completed. Seeing as she doesn’t rely on her Yoki to fight, it makes it all the more complicated to find her. When she does release her energy, the Last Pulse is an immediate reaction to her rise in Yoki. It created a large surge of energy almost as if it was a large heart beat coming from the land—Yoki spreads out equally around her within a five kilometer radius. That way, when she fights, she’ll still ‘protected’ and those who have an ability to fight by reading Yoki are at a disadvantage versus Valencia.
Absence of Mention : Another thing she trained extremely hard to learn, but this was on her own. Without releasing Yoki, she taught herself to move and act in complete silence. She walks as if she floated over the ground, not daring to make a sound. Her armor is different from other Claymore’s for it has padding to aid her in her stealth. No one sees her coming and when she passes through, people rarely realize she’s been there unless she wants to make herself known. When she walks through a town, she kills the Yoma, but it’s as if it randomly died. Civilians with common sense would know that the Silver eyed witch they called for had passed through. She strikes fear in most people because they never see her coming.
Obsolete Vanish : Speed is required in her line of duty. With this ability, she can move at immeasurable speeds of which the eye cannot follow. It’s like watching a movie, except the frames with her movement are gone and there’s only her before and after. Inevitably, she must release her Yoki to use this, but when she does, she suppresses Last Pulse. Rarely will she ever use Obsolete Vanish to run or to get from one place to another. She only will use this to block attacks and strike. When she moves, she will run at speeds of a normal Claymore.
Engulfing Obscurity : Valencia has never used this power in all her existence with Yoma blood. She’s never found use to it. Plus, it’s a risky thing to attempt. Merging Obcurity is an ability that she’s gained with her lack of Yoki use and because of her Last Pulse training. Seeing as with Last Puse she expulses large amounts of Yoki without awakening, she can also transfer her Yoki into another bodily vessel whether it be Claymore, Human or Yoma. This allows her to use the vessel as a puppet to do her bidding, though when she uses this, it renders her completely helpless and her own body becomes limp and unusable. She can take a human and make them fight like a Claymore—more precisely, like her—and if they were injured, she could heal them. Controlling another’s body completely could kill Valencia, attempting to control a part of another’s body will leave her weak and healing someone else could leave her unconscious for several days. She has yet to find a cause to risk her like for. The reason that this is so dangerous to her is because she has to fight against the free will of the body’s owner as well as the fact that she’s got to force herself to be in sync with a vessel she’s unfamiliar with. This ability has been kept a secret from the organization for if they knew this, they would probably try to re-create project Alicia/Beth has had just recently failed them.[/ul]

Background
History:
It was a warm autumn afternoon, people were gathered around the woman who was crying and screaming her heart out. She pushed with all her might and yet, it seemed useless. Perhaps they were stuck? No, they couldn’t be. This kind of inconvenience wasn’t something she wanted to happen and she didn’t deserve it. Beatrix Antigone Wales-Avalon was nothing but kind with all those around her. She was a beautiful woman who was about to bear two children at once. Her husband, Ivan Xavier Avalon, was a great nobleman, but he sat there at her side, holding her hand. The two already had two elder sons each have lived over a decade. The couple was reaching a tender age and shouldn’t be having children, but here they were. Hours passed and Beatrix never stopped pushing, she was going have these twins and she was going to make it.
On October 31st, Beatrix died bearing twins; one boy and one girl. The boy was named [ insert first name] Vahan Avalon and the girl was named Isolde Valencia Avalaon. Together, their middle names both mean Shield and Power, respectively. The two grew up in a wealthy family, their father taught them whatever he could and attempted to turn his daughter into a well-mannered and lady-like young girl. Fortunately for him, she became a sweet young girl who was extremely friendly with those around her. She was talkative once you got to know her and she would do anything to protect those around her. It couldn’t be helped that she knew how to handle a sword, she grew up around men and the only women she had were her maids. Her father was lenient when she escaped the confinements of her large home to go play with the orphans in the street. She did her best to help them, smuggling food from her home and money. She had a good heart. Her twin too, they did everything together. They protected one another with all their might and when one got in trouble, the other came to their defense.
As she got older, some of her friends disappeared and knew never heard of them again. There was this one boy whom she held close to her heart—almost just as much as she loved her other half. His name was [ insert name ] and he was always there when she needed him; when she couldn’t go to her brothers. The three of them ( Valencia and the two boys ) were a team. They were better than the best of friends. In her heart, Valencia always thought that when she got older, she could marry the orphan boy. She showed him the secret passages she used to sneak out of the house so that he could visit her. Ivan knew of this, but he let the kids be kids and one day, he proposed to take the homeless boy in to live with them. It was a dream come true for all of them. Life seemed perfect at the time, but that was the last moment of happiness Isolde Valencia Avalon was going to experience.
The young girl was shaking frantically in the arms of her twin brother. He was guiding her through the night, she couldn’t see a thing. Her vision was blurred by the tears flooding her eyes and she couldn’t gather her thoughts. She looked down at her hands and they were covered in blood. It was her eldest brother’s. He was dead. Her father was dead. Her other brother was dead and she had lost track of [ insert name ]. She didn’t know what to do, everything flashed before her eyes: The guard turning into a yellow eyed monster and attacking anyone and everyone at the dinner table and then everyone fighting the monster and failing. Their friend had stayed back to fight the thing to Vahan’s dismay. He wanted to do it, but someone had to take Valencia away from the place. Images flashed before her and she flinched. She didn’t want to keep running, she wanted to turn back and do something to help. “Please, Vahan, don’t do this. Let we need to help him.” She pleaded, crying and sobbing. She was as helpless and anyone else, but she still wanted to help or at least get away with him or something. How inhuman was it to leave someone behind like that.
She had never felt sadness like that before. Her brother at her side, they sat on the street. Ever since that night, Valencia hadn’t uttered a word. She refused to speak to anyone and she wasn’t functioning properly. Her brother had to feed her and help with everything ( except going to the bathroom ). It was sad enough for the both of them to have lost their family, but Valencia was unknowingly torturing her brother. He hated to see her like this; unhappy, lonely—blocking everyone out of her life.
One day, a man in black approached her and tried to take her away. Her brother tried to fight the man, but at the same time, a woman arrived and took the boy. All she remembered from then was hearing her own voice screaming his name, not wanting to be separated from him.
Everything for a few months of this part of her life is just a blur and she simply has flashes of what happened. The blood that she almost seemed to bathe in… The pain of transformation… Vomiting for days at a time… The harsh training that left her unable to move on the cold marble floor… Where her memories do pick up, she only remembers being around eighteen. Men in black released yoma on her and she was to perfect several techniques that would put her at the top of the Claymores. They pushed her until she coughed up blood or until the beasts they unleashed on her had left her barely alive. As a defensive type, they gave her some time to recover and then it was back to work. No matter how hard they tried, the only time she would release Yoki was when she used what they named Obsolete Vanish. Whoever knew all of the techniques Valencia possessed, they’d be aware that in some way, the names related to death.
Because of her resistance when they tried to get her to unleash Yoki, they developed something that would help her when she did. They called it the Last Pulse. Never has the organization worked so hard on a single Claymore unless they opted to make them number one. The Elders wanted to make Valencia the leader of their organization, but alas, their fabrication was no match for people with natural talent.
Instead of making her number one right away, they placed her at number four. This was her punishment for putting up a resistance. Eventually, the women before her disappeared and she was moved up to number two. She held her spot for a while and then got pushed back down to number three. The organization had taken up another project and made it better. Valencia was as strong as anyone above her, but she had her reasons not to challenge the numbers one and two. To the Elders, they didn’t see her potions because she hid it from them, they weren’t aware of certain techniques no matter how hard they tried to spy on her. She never used the abilities she kept secret from them.
Years after her separation from her brother, she’s still looking for him and the organization know very well where he is as well as the boy who tried to protect the twins that night. They’re with the Schiavona, but no one has cared to tell Valencia about it. She’s going to find out and she probably will be happy, but they won’t let that happen so easily. If Valencia found out were her beloved brother and friend is, they’ll lose their tight grip on her. Then again, if the twins were reunited, that would mean that they could re-create the Alicia/Bess project.

Other:
Alrighty… Soooo, I’d just like to say that you totally rock for making this site and that everyone with ‘insert name’ in Valencia’s history is a playable character? They’d probably all be Schiavona though. And I completely ditched the new version of my history 'cause I odn't have time to do it right now. >_< I'll finish it next week, for now, getting accepted is the priority xD Sorry!

If Valencia found out were her beloved brother and friend is, they’ll lose their tight grip on her. Then again, if the twins were reunited, that would mean that they could re-create the Alicia/Bess project.
