General information[/b]
Name: Clementine, Abigail Luna
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Class: Claymore
Rank: 2
Symbol:
Occupation: What ever it is that Claymores do -.-
Birthday: July 21st
Height: 5E (160cm)
Weight: 115lbs
Personality: Before the transformation, Luna was a pure girl. She had the patience of a saint. It mattered not who was talking to her, what tone they used, or how she was being treated. Luna always gave all the respect she had for anybody who even bothered to speak to her, even if they bored her, the girl would stay and listen until the finished every word. In a word she was a little bit of a push over. She didn’t know any other way to act, she was raised to be a polite young lady.
Despite her pleasant upbringing, Luna was considered a ‘rebelE It wasn’t her fault she didn’t enjoy the things the adults she was expected to be in the company of did, after all she was just a kid. Her attention span is quite short and will get bored quite easily. She would act as though a speaker has her full attention, when in reality, her mind had been wandering not too long after they began. Not very many things interest her, so finding a topic she actually cares about is quite difficult. More often than not, Luna just keeps her mouth shut about things and let destiny take it’s course.
Prior to her acceptance into the organization, Luna was a cheerful, optimistic girl. She would almost always find a ‘goodEside to every problem thrown at her. This girl wouldn’t let the world get in her way, each time she was faced with a problem, she would work relentlessly to get past it, to her life was a game! Having never known true sorrow before, Luna always claimed ‘nothing was as bad as it seemed.E
The girl was no doubt, an idealist. Before joining the claymores, Luna actually believed in there was good in everything put on the earth. Calling her ‘naEeEwas an understatement, the girl believed so much in people, she decided anything that could move was worthy enough for her to trust.
She was taught to not to speak until addressed, but this wasn’t something Luna decided to keep after her transformation. She cared not what she says, and who she says it to, but Luna often just keeps her opinions inside, as she believes it is more of a hassle to explain her unique way of thinking, so things are usually better if she doesn’t open her mouth at all. It seemed the fusion of Yoma blood took the better half of her human side. After being accepted into the organization, Luna lost most of her good nature. Much of her well mannered upbringing was forgotten and eventually replaced with something more fitting, a personality more suited to the world she lived in.
The once cheerful little girl who was determined to change the world was now gone, in her stead was someone who was unmotivated and undetermined, Luna would rather sit on ass than do actual work. She takes on missions only if they benefit her and rarely ever does anything for anybody else. Not even the organization can keep her in check, she refuses to take on any mission she suspects to be a ‘hassleEto her Ewhich is mostly every other mission. Because of her attitude and level of disrespect, the organization must keep a close eye on her, so as she not get out of hand.
Never one to be chained down, Luna hardly ever stays in one place, partly because of her short attention span and partly because her lack of any long term memory, the woman hates to stay still. Things that occur often tend to bore her, so once in a while she likes to find challenges for herself, though it actually takes some effort to entertain herself, Luna tries to overcome her laziness and more often than not, manages to find herself some sort of fun.
The generous little girl that existed once upon a time is now nothing but a distant memory. Luna, after seeing the truths of this world, she learned that there is nobody she can depend on but herself. The empty promises made by others are meaningless. When it comes down to it, Luna knew she could only trust herself. This was what gave birth to her almost ‘selfishEpersona. She promised herself Eafter being the victim of one to many betrayals Eshe would depend on herself and no one else, this lead to the woman being seen as selfish by those around her.
Feelings and emotions are considered a weakness by Luna, she neither has strong emotions, nor does she care for the emotions and feelings of others. Hurt feelings aren’t something she considers important, they’re just another casualty in the ongoing chaos of the world. Luna comes off as inconsiderate to most people, but in a world where people die everyday, are hurt feelings really a big deal?
Luna’s most obvious trait is how oblivious she is. Her sense of time is nonexistent, location and direction are something totally unknown to Luna. It’s surprising how she manages to get from one town to the next without getting lost, but some how she manages. Luna is the kind to never forgive nor forget, but fortunately she has almost no long term memory, it would be a miracle if she could remember what she had for dinner the previous night.
Unlike most Claymores, who despise their Yoma half, Luna has no such feelings towards the source of her power. In all honesty she cares not if she becomes awaken and lust for human innards, though this is something the organization fears, Luna is not one to change her mind easily. Because of her seemingly selfish persona, the organization keeps her under very tight surveillance. Luna fails to see the reason why they are required to keep their demonic halves in check, if they were their source of power, then Luna believes they should be embraced, not restrained.
Given all the pain and suffering she has seen, Luna still manages to stay sincere. She isn’t afraid to say what’s on her mind and only speaks the truth. Not a word of lie comes from her mouth, but then again, rarely anything comes out of her mouth. Needless to say, Luna isn’t exactly a team player, she prefers being secluded and seldom takes on missions with a party.
Appearance: Before joining the organization
The general appearance of Luna has not changed much as Claymores do not age. From the moment she joined the organization, her body has not undergone any drastic changes, except for a slight drop in weight, due to Claymores not having to eat very much. The girl’s arms look slender, but they have as much strength in them as any full grown man would. The overall look of the girl is rather delicate, one would think she was unfit to be a warrior because of her rather small size and physique. The mistake made by most opponents is underestimating Luna’s abilities by her looks. Given her small, rather week like appearance, Luna is able to swing her Claymore (Which is almost not too much shorter than she is) around with relative ease, making it seem as if the blade weight no more than a feather.
Another reason Luna is referred to as ‘Luna the pureEis because of the colour of her eyes. Although most ClaymoresEeyes are silver, Luna’s are considered the most untainted, her eyes are a silver so pure they rival the appearance of the mineral itself. Under the correct amount of moonlight, one could swear the colour of her eyes changes to a translucent shade of silver, giving her an ethereal look, as if she was sent to the earth by angels Eor, more realistically, demons.
Luna’s waist length hair was once a beautiful hazelnut, since her acceptance into the organization, it had lost its once luminous appeal and had become a dull, white-washed blonde. With the constant suppression of her Yoki, the woman had managed to regain some of her hazel hair. Though to most Claymores the retention of one’s previous hair colour is a sign of weakness, but anybody whose crossed swords with this woman would know better. Within the pale blonde chaos on her head are stray strands of hazelnut coloured hair, they’re usually hidden underneath her overpowering blonde hair, but in moments of rapid movement, those coloured strands may be seen, giving the blur created by her speed a surreal look, as if a hazel coloured streak of light was moving past.
The standard issue Claymore outfit seemed a little dull and boring to Luna, she is rarely ever seen wearing the clothing she is given by the organization, instead she decides to wear her own, less restrictive version of the garments Ethe standard garment with the sleeves cut. Because of her abilities, Luna feels there is no need to wear any of the protective armor the claymores usually wear. Although she does often allows herself to wear the cape, as it provides her a sense of protection.
Rarely does the woman carry her claymore on her back, she rather hates being just another fish in the pound. Individuality is something she strives for. However, the reason for her not carrying her blade on her back serves a higher reason, that reason being Luna gets bored extremely easily and without some sort of noise or movement, she tends to either fall asleep, or day dream. To prevent her from doing so, she often drags her claymore along her side, making a noise that will remind Luna she is, in fact, still in the real world, and will hopefully keep her from dozing off.
Expressions given off by Luna are hard to read to say the least, she doesn’t have to try very hard to keep others in dark about her ambitions and plans. Throughout the years, she learned to keep her emotions a secret Esometimes from even herself. Hard to imagine a woman like her could keep secrets so well. She literally gives no indication of her intentions with her emotions, no matter how skilled a person is at ‘readingEothers, Luna is by far one of the most secretive people there is. Ironically, she has issue keeping the secrets of others.
Powers
Powers:
Luna’s control of Yoki is second to none, she is able to sense the ‘energyEfrom miles away regardless of small it may be. Also, she can sense when and where a user sends their Yoki to any given part of their body. Not only can she sense this, she can do it at an amazing speed, making reactions to an opponent’s actions before they even know themselves. Her control of Yoki extends to that of her own body, Luna’s able to suppress her own powers to a level that’s almost undetectable unless she is within a few feet. On the other hand, this allows Luna to release her sealed powers with ease, she’s able to change from her unreleased state to almost full in a matter of seconds, coincidentally, this allows her to go almost beyond the ‘limitEand go into an almost fully released stage and still remain ‘humanE Though this is highly discouraged, as the transformation and the instant burst of energy is harmful to her health to say the least. She promised herself to only release when it’s absolutely necessary, in situations concerning life or death. Luna’s battle prowess is highly dependant on this, during battles with strong opponents, Luna usually disables her sense of sight purposely in order to heighten her other sense and avoid unnecessary distractions.
Savior’s claim – A technique that may only be used by Claymore with superb control of Yoki. In order to achieve the desired effect, one must first draw Yoki from within their own bodies, having completed that, she must then compress the energy until it takes on a thin, needle like shape, one that can easily penetrate even the toughest materials. After fusing the user’s Yoki with that of an opponent’s, the user will gain limited control of the part of the body the Yoki is inserted. When the energy has given enough time to ‘fuseEwith the opponent’s own Yoki, the user is granted a greater level of control. As more time passes, and their energies fuse further, the user can almost fully control the opponent’s actions, making them obey their every will. Aside from controlling an opponent, the user has the option to Eat any moment after the Yoki’s begin to fuse Erelease the compressed energy, causing an explosive effect, dealing significant internal and external damage. Those who have moderate control of their Yoki can sense the intrusion of foreign energies and act accordingly, suppressing and quarantining it. Those with strong Yoki control may even force the Yoki out, rendering this technique useless to those who have better mastery of their demonic energy.
Purity – The technique that earned this claymore her nick name. ‘PureEin this case has nothing to do with her soul, or religion. The meaning of the word in this context refers to its literal meaning : ‘Free from inferior, contaminating substance.EWith a sudden release of Yoki, Luna can literally negate any attack approaching her. Only a user with an unparalleled control of their Yoma powers can actually do this. The process is quite simple, gathering Yoki from one’s surroundings, condensing it into something that can take effect in the physical dimension, then moving it between the user and the strike, preventing any damage. The concentrated Yoki may intercept any attack as long as the conflicting Yoki does not overpower Luna’s. On a side note, this technique requires the user to have a stable Yoki, if the user’s mind is distracted or focused on other things, the effects will be severely weakened. Also by gesturing with the hand, one can decrease the time it takes for the process of condensing and moving the protective Yoki around, making it the ‘ultimate defense.E
Infinity – The constant suppressing of her Yoki can get quite irritating. The extra burden Luna puts on herself is too much for most lower ranked Claymore. Although she makes it seem like nothing, the Yoki she keeps dormant keeps growing as time passes on. The less often she has to release her energy, the more powerful it gets once it is released. Upon the release of the Yoki, a huge burden is taken off Luna, it physically feels like dropping a few hundred pounds. Once the large burst of Yoki is released into her surroundings, those who depend on their ability to sense Yoma energy are rendered useless as the overwhelming energy makes it appear as if there were an infinite amount of Yoki sources, making the ability to sense Yoki useless. On top of confusing the sense, Luna completes this technique by forcing a fraction of the Yoki into her limbs, allowing for rapid movement for the duration of her initial release of her Yoki. With the heightened agility, Luna makes it appear as though she was at multiple places at once, confusing the eyes. Though powerful, the drawbacks of this technique are quite dangerous. Over using the unimaginable boost of agility and power may cause damage to Luna’s body, not to mention the longer she stays released, the more likely she will become awakened.
Reflection – During combat, Luna’s ability to read Yoki becomes her greatest asset. Reflection allows her to read the enemy’s Yoki patterns, decipher them and ultimately understand the fundamental structure of an attack. The breakdown of an opponent’s attack allows for better avoidance. Also, Reflection allows the user to mimic almost perfectly any attack after deciphering the Yoki patterns – of course the ‘copied’ attack will be no where near as powerful, as users of high level techniques usually has had years of practice where as the ‘copy’ is learned, used and forgotten almost instantaneously. Although this ability has high potential being used as an offensive power, the main reason Luna developed it was to have a secondary defense in the unlikely even an attack would get through 'Purity'
